CALL FOR PAPERS

''There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.'' — Aldous Huxley

   This quote from Aldous Huxley states that everything that is and isn't foots itself on the perception of the observer. Some doors are locked, longing for their everchanging key; waiting to be unlocked. Our perception is the key element of how we see and interpret our everyday life. It is an accumulation that harbors both the experiences of the past and the wonders of future.

   The Departments of American Culture and Literature and English Language and Literature warmly present the 11th International Undergraduate Symposium (IUS) titled ''Perception'' to explore different modes of perception in literature, culture, arts and life. Possible topics include, but are not limited to the perception of:

  • Perspective

  • Time

  • Reality

  • Chaos

  • Madness

  • Self

  • Otherness

  • Gender

  • Binary Oppositions

  • Religion and Belief

  • Ethics and Morals

  • Individualism and Community

We sincerely invite you to become a participant of 11th IUS by sending your abstract of 200-250 words until January 31, 2023.

 

Please e-mail your proposal and a short BIO (50 words) to: ''egeius2023@gmail.com''. Accepted papers will be announced by February 10. Please note that the language of conference is English and the presentations should not exceed 15 minutes.
